I am giving myself 5 years to read all 73 of her novels and collections of short stories. I have started with "Ruth Rendell writing as Barbara Vine," because these stories are uniquely structured and particularly suspenseful, and because it will give me a chance to re-read my favorite novel of all time, "The House of
